A true homologation special, the Porsche 911 GT1 Street Version was a limited-production supercar built to legalize the GT1 for FIA competition. Powered by a detuned version of the race car's twin-turbo flat six, the GT1 Street Version could reach 60 miles per hour from a standing start in under four seconds en route to a top speed of nearly 200 miles per hour...heady stuff in the late 1990s. Only 25 911 GT1 Street Versions were produced, including a single example finished in Polar Silver, and it's this one-off silver car that is the subject of Spark's new 1:43-scale resin replica. A stunning effort even by Spark's high standards, the new GT1 Street Version boasts a flawlessly rendered body that's replete with fine details, from its 996-style headlights and German number plates to its complex road wheels, all the way to its massive rear wing.
